About us
FAMO was founded in 1986 and has 26 years of experience representing the Spanish Office Furniture sector´s interests. FAMO works together with its members, non-member companies and Institutions in order to spot their needs providing international promotion´s support.
FAMO is in charge of managing the Office Furniture Sector Plan granted by the Spanish Foreign Trade Institute (ICEX) and holds the Secretariat of the Committee for Technical Standardisation of Office Furniture of AENOR. The quality of FAMO´s management and services was certified in 2008 by AENOR with the ISO 9001 standard.
Moreover FAMO is a member of CONFEMADERA/ FEDERMUEBLE -Spanish Furniture Manufacturers Federation- and co-operates actively with FEMB (Fédération Européene du Mobilier de Bureau), representing the Spanish Office Furniture sector in the most important round tables.
Finally FAMO is also member of the Organising Committee of OFITEC, the most important Office and Contract Furniture fair in Spain and one of the most important exhibitions of our industry in Europe.
OUR MISSION: To strengthen the Office and Contract Furniture Manufacturers in our country by providing management, proposals and industrial development services, aiming at achieving competitive advantage for those companies which cannot accomplish it on their own. We want to be a solid, ethic and participatory organisation, giving added value to our members and promoting our companies and sector in Spainand abroad.
OUR VISION: we stand for being the reference organisation in the Spanish Office and Contract Furniture sector, fostering competitiveness and sustainable development, as well as leading the changing process in our sector and the promotion in the Spanish and foreign markets.
